And lastly...

Even though this is not a very good photo, it's my favorite of the day.
We kept walking around the Washington Monument but never really
got too close to it. At one point Morgan said to me, "I want to
go and stand next to that thing." So we took the trek and here is
Morgan "standing right next to that thing."

Our day in DC

After being in the suburbs of DC for 8 months now we finally
took a big trip in to the city to see the sights. We had quite
the caravan with all of Steve's family. We had a great day together.
Lots and lots of walking, so between a tired pregnant woman, 2 sprained
ankles, a set of bad knees, and some little kids, we were a hurtin'
bunch at the end of the day!! It was also a very cold and windy day,
most of us were not dressed warm enough.

Aaron loved the metro ride

Claudia was very excited to see the Wright Bros. exhibit
at the Air and Space museum

This was how Morgan traveled much of the day

Recipe Exchange

On Wed. night us ladies from the Pastor's College got together
for a recipe exchange. Oh my, what a spread of food we had!!
I forgot my camera that night so I have no pictures. We had so
much fun! We were all to bring one of our favorite family recipes
and then cook and bring the dish for all to taste. It was so fun
to see what others made and tasting it all was even better. We
had a big variety, from mocha punch to kickin' Texas salsa to
cornbread dressing to southern beans with wilted spinach. My
favorite of the night was a curried chicken salad. So yummy. It
is fun to have a new pile of recipes to pull from.

On the Court

Aaron's new absolute favorite place to be is on the
basketball court. He'll stand right under the net
holding the ball and say, "ball, ball, ball..." over
and over again. When the whole family was in there
was a big game and Aaron insisted on being a part of it.

911

Last evening the phone rang and it was the Montgomery
County Police Dept. She told me that this call was being
recorded and asked me if there was an emergency in our home.
Very confused, I told her there was not and she said that
someone was calling 911 repeatedly from this number. I
immediately knew that it was Aaron. He can reach our phone
in our bedroom and is always playing with it. I ran upstairs
and sure enough there he was, dialing away! I was very
apologetic and told her that it was my son and she kind of
chuckled and said, "Ok, that is why he kept hanging up and
calling back." I was sure glad that she got a laugh out of
it! Little stinker.
