Lexie Michelle

My cousin and dear friend, Shannon, had herself the most precious little girl just a few weeks back.  Shannon already has 2 little boys and I was so happy for her to have little Lexie.  She couldn't be any cuter, it was so fun to take some pics of her last week.

This quilt was made by my mom with some of our grandmother's fabric

I love this next shot.  It wasn't posed, Shannon was trying to soothe Lexi for the pic.

One more quilt, this one made by our grandma

Home Sweet Home

We arrived back here about 2:30 a.m. Eastern Time.  It was a looong trip back but we were happy to be home.  This was the view in the van at that time.

San Francisco

Although San Fran is almost 3 hours from my mother-in-law's house, we chose to fly into there for a couple reasons.  First, it was quite a  bit cheaper for us, and second, it gave us the perfect excuse to spend a day with our dear friends who live there!  We met Toby and Rebekah in Maryland while attending the Pastor's College.  They are from CA and are now planting a church in San Fran.  It was so great to see them again, hear how they are doing, and to see their amazing city.
We spent the afternoon at Toby's sister's house.  It's on the outside of the city and was one of the most beautiful homes I have ever seen.  They live on a lagoon, this place was just stunning, let me tell ya!
This was part of the view from the backyard

Mr. J.T. Kurth makes some of the best iced tea!
After spending the afternoon on the lagoon, we went in to the city to their place.  San Fran is a fascinating city, I wish we had longer to explore.  The fog was intense so the views were very limited, but even through the fog I could tell that the view of the city, the ocean, and the Golden Gate Bridge were simply stunning.  Toby and Rebekah have just a 5 minute walk from their apt. to see the coast and all it's beauty.  Also, the weather was quite bizarre, it was very cold there.  We left the airport in jeans and sweatshirts and when we walked into the heat and humidity in Baltimore, I thought we were gonna croak!
This sign was up before walking to view the bridge and the coast
So, so bummed that you couldn't see the whole bridge that day, this was all we got
It was great to see you again, Kurths! Thanks for having us and showing us around.

More random

One day the boys went golfing and the girls went to a water park.  I don't know about the boys, but us girls had tons of fun.  I started to take pics but then quickly realized that my camera was not really conducive to a water park.  Got a couple cute shots of this CRAZY ride.
I am officially old.  I went on it once and only once b/c the first time down it hurt my neck.  Uggh.
We spent Father's Day at KFC and then a local park.
B/c they are so stinkin' cute...

There was this crazy little thing that Greta just loved.  She could spin it with her body's momentum.  It was so cute to watch her and her concentrated face.
Little Miss Greta luuuved her Auntie Kayla
My mother-in-law and her husband's property is amazing, they have their own little orchard going on.  Lemon, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, apricot, cherry, apple trees.  I'm sure I'm missing some.  Their sweet cherries were still hanging on the trees and we had fun picking them whenever we wanted.
Cousin Alana gave Greta a bunch of new shoes and these boots are her new fave.
Looks like Maw and Greta both had some bed head going on this morning.
