Cousin Time

While we were in the Bahamas, Steve's mom came for a few days and brought our nephew Aiden.  The kids loved all the time together!!

Out of the Mouths...

Last night Josiah woke up with a scary dream.  I spent a few minutes comforting him and as we were heading back to his bed he says to me, "I was trying to think of rainbows and kitties but it just wasn't working!!"

I love when I see little bits of myself in my kids.  Greta loves the sun and I regularly see her with a book in the sunny spot of the room.

Bahamas

I have sat and tried to type this blog post many times.  I keep deleting what I write and starting over. For some reason I just can't get my words out to express this trip. Last month Steve and I had the privilege of going to the Bahamas with a small team from our church.  We went to fix a roof on a church.  The pastor of the church is a friend of ours, we attended Pastor's College with them back in '07.

This trip was a tremendous joy and blessing in so many ways.  First, to go somewhere warm in February was a huge treat. But oh my goodness, Steve and I had so much fun with this team.  It was a small group, so the 6 of us spent just about every waking minute together and we laughed and talked and laughed and talked for 7 days straight.  We couldn't have asked for the dynamics of the team to be any better.  This trip will go down in my memory as one of my favorite weeks ever.
