What a mess

My mom had gotten each of the grandkids their own little bunny
cake. The little ones (and the big ones!) loved it. Here are
a few shots of them enjoying their treat.

The necessary clean-up

One more random picture of our time at home. I thought the girls
looked so cute reading together on the side of the porch.

Afton

Here are a couple cute shots of my niece, Afton. She is such a
happy and content little girl.

Gardening with Grandpa

My dad loves having the kids help him do his jobs. Here they
all are picking asparagus.

Cuz's

Our desire when together with my brother and his family was to get
a cute pic of the kids together. It's kind of a joke with 2 toddlers...
these were taken right before bed, Claudia and Morgan in jammies and wet
hair and the little ones had been playing in the dirt.

From the looks of this picture, who has the well behaved children?

A pretty good one

Lots of love

As you can see from the following photos, Aaron loves to give
out the love. Avery and Afton (my brothers daughters) were
the willing recipients.

Aaron loves to watch planes and trucks go by. If he sees one
this is what he does:

beauty, Stella

More family

We have had another busy couple weeks. Steve was gone last week
with all the guys from the Pastors College. He had the privilege
of attending the Together for the Gospel conference in Louisville,
Kentucky. He had a great time, I was only a little jealous that
I could not go!
While he was gone, the kids and I returned to Lancaster to take
care of some logistical issues. Car inspections, weeding and mulching
were the priorities this time. (Gee, who got the better end of the
deal that week, me or Steve?) And then halfway through the week,
Steve's dad, his wife, Bev, and her son Derek came for a visit. They
came to see their new granddaughter, Alana, and catch up with all of
us. We had a great time, it had been over a year since we had seen
them.
Also during that time, my brother and his family came in from Colombus
for a visit. It is always good to see them and especially fun to see
my kids enjoy their 2 little cousins.
Steve got to preach at our home church in Lancaster on Sunday. Of course
I am probably a little biased, but I think he did an excellent job. We
are very much looking forward to returning there in just a few short weeks.
As I have time here will post the rest of the pics from our time home.

Little Poser

While outside today, Aaron was sure striking the poses for me.
It was pretty cute.

Doesn't that face look like trouble?!?

Not exactly nice posing, just a funny shot of the belly and bod.

Beautiful Day

The last 2 days have been so beautiful. Spring has been much
anticipated in this household. We have been enjoying being out
in the warm air and sun. Today we were all out and the girls
were doing some school work on the grass in the sun. How
lovely!!

Baby update

I was at the doctor again today for my 20 week ultrasound. We all
went together, it is such a treat to see that little one swimming
around in there. (Steve was still holding out for the hope that they
would find 2! Esp. after hearing about the Howells!!) Anyway, the
baby was being a bit stubborn and would not get in a good position to
get the nice little fridge shot. So all we have is the "face on" where
the baby looks like an alien! We are the forever traditional type
who do not find out the sex, so we'll have to wait until August for
that.
The doctor did say that this baby has very long legs (interesting info)
and that everything else is healthy. Can't wait to meet the little
one.

And lastly...

Even though this is not a very good photo, it's my favorite of the day.
We kept walking around the Washington Monument but never really
got too close to it. At one point Morgan said to me, "I want to
go and stand next to that thing." So we took the trek and here is
Morgan "standing right next to that thing."

Our day in DC

After being in the suburbs of DC for 8 months now we finally
took a big trip in to the city to see the sights. We had quite
the caravan with all of Steve's family. We had a great day together.
Lots and lots of walking, so between a tired pregnant woman, 2 sprained
ankles, a set of bad knees, and some little kids, we were a hurtin'
bunch at the end of the day!! It was also a very cold and windy day,
most of us were not dressed warm enough.

Aaron loved the metro ride

Claudia was very excited to see the Wright Bros. exhibit
at the Air and Space museum
