Blanket

For Christmas my mom made Josiah the cutest blanket.  We both were a bit unsure if he would actually like being given a blanket for a gift.  But I think she hit the nail on the head when she put a few monster trucks on it.  It's super cute, my friend said it looked like it was from Pottery Barn.  I agree!!

When I was a kid my Grandma Rudy always provided us with the best homemade blankets.  I hope my kids are as sentimental about their blankets as I am mine!

I tried to make a special supper for the family the evening of Valentines.  I chose Greta to be my helper.  She loved helping me making everything pretty and keeping it a surprise from the rest of the crew.  Such a sweet little thing she is.

Snow and a haircut

Claudia recently got a very dramatic hair cut- at least 10 inches off!!  She wanted a picture of her new look.  We took a few yesterday in the falling snow.  Such a pretty girl and a pretty day.

Out of the Mouths

I love the toddler perspective of life and word choices.  This morning Josiah handed me his sippy cup and said he needed more juice, that his was melting.  I asked him what he means it was melting.

"It keeps going down and down and down."
