Baking
Our Morgan loves to be in the kitchen. Numerous times a week she is asking me if she can bake something. I recently had her spend the day with a woman from our church who runs a B&B in her home and is an excellent baker. She loves to decorate cakes and I thought she could help Morgan out. Their cake was delicious!!

Rainbow
Hard to believe this picture was only 2 weeks ago. Green grass and a gorgeous rainbow in our backyard. It was the prefect, bright double rainbow. This little lady was pretty tickled at the sight of it!

The day after the storm
It's a toss up for me to which is more beautiful: the winter storm or the day after the storm. I love watching it snow but I also love the next day when everything is covered and peaceful and the sun is shining on the snow. Plus, pictures are easier when there is not snow flying in my face!!
These next 2 pictures are cracking me up. Poor unsuspecting Morgan doesn't know she's about to get her head blown up by that massive chunk of snow that Claudia is throwing. I just happened to have my camera on them. I promise I wasn't a part of the plan to hurt her!!
And the playful fight that ensued after the snowball attack...

Blizzard 2016
It finally happened...our first snow of the year. And in no way did it disappoint! We got a whoppin' 2 plus feet of snow. We woke up Saturday morning and there was a least a foot on the ground. It snowed the rest of the day. Being inside in a snowstorm is truly one of my favorite things. I love to watch the kids play and the beauty of everything getting covered in snow.

Favorite Pics
I very much enjoy documenting our family with pictures. It has always been my most 'creative' endeavor. I'm not much of a crafter or decorator but I love keeping up with our lives with photos and updating the blog.
To be honest I have a love/hate relationship with taking pictures for other people. I like it because it always challenges me, it make us a bit of extra money, and I can use it as a gift to bless friends or family. But it does stress me out as well. Taking pictures for others definitely brings out my insecurities. I want to grow and be challenged with my abilities and it's definitely put to the test when shooting for others.
Here are a few of my favorites that I took for others in 2015.

Out of the Mouths...
This morning Josiah came to me and announced: "Mom, I slept up!"
Me: "Jojo, what does slept up mean?"
Jo: "It means I don't need to take a nap."

2015
In looking back through my photos, it's hard to believe so many things happened in one year. And the pictures that I have capture such a small, small window of our real life. Here is our 2015 in just a blink. Most of the moments captured here are happy ones. Don't be fooled, this past year was filled with significant trials as well. But today let's just celebrate all the happy moments that God has given us to enjoy!!
