Trick or Treat and Windows

Last night we had lots of fun getting the kids all dressed up. This year went surprisingly well finding costumes for 4. I got Greta's on clearance last year for $2.50 and spent $1 at Goodwill for Morgan's hat and the rest was stuff we already had!
I love seeing the kids get all dressed up and their excitement of going trick or treating. It's a fun chance to talk with some neighbors that we hardly ever see.

Yesterday Steve and dad got ALL the new windows in. Yeah!!


Today they got the siding done on the west side of the garage. Oh, it's beautiful!!


Jack of all trades. Not only can my dad pour concrete and install windows, but he can rock a crabby baby to sleep on his lunch break. So cute. Notice the one sock.


Took this shot earlier in the week when Aaron was sick. He was sooooooo crabby and took a morning nap and daddy promised him a doughnut when he awoke. Love that face.

Tomorrow's a Big Day

There has been much happening around here this week, I just have no pics to prove it. There is a monster living inside of my iphoto who keeps eating my newly downloaded pics. Actually, our hard drive is too full, I'm too dumb enough to remember it, and we have yet to had time to do anything about it. So... i had some fun pics of our newly poured concrete porch and sidewalk that are lost. But that's ok... at least the porch and sidewalk are still here!! Steve got lots of little things done, a bunch of electrical, and my dad's job has been slow this week, so he's been able to do some framing up in the new bedroom.
I can hardly wait for tomorrow. Our new windows will be delivered sometime in the morning. It will be a few days of hard work, but the outside will soon be done! The new part just looks like a big wooden box right now. Can't wait to see the new look.

Too Funny

I'm home from church today with a sick boy. Got an e-mail from my sis-in-law that totally made my day. Every year my brother and her go to a Halloween party and each year Miranda comes up with a funnier costume than last. Here they are as ocotomom and her doctor.

Day of Digging

We are getting a new geothermal heating/cooling system put in and they game to dig the wells today. When I thought of someone coming to dig a well I was thinking small, like maybe the size of a jackhammer. Imagine my surprise when this thing showed up today:




Today was absolutely gorgeous, we spent most of the morning outside watching. Some were more interested than others...

These 2 crazy chickens are always in the mud. There was lots of new clayish mud today from the well digging. Of course they found it!










Mom and dad saved the day again this evening, helping Steve get the porch ready to pour concrete.

Fun Progress

Steve had off work yesterday so it was nice to have a whole day to commit to getting some more things done around here. My wonderful Mother spent her day off here painting my kitchen! I am sooooo glad that big job is done. Not sure when I would have tackled that one with all the kids around. Thanks, Mom!!

Morgan is always wanting to help out with the projects


Steve got a lot of little things done yesterday but the big one was that the lighting is now all done and installed in the kitchen/dining!! Pedant lights over the island, ceiling fan, etc. Yeah!!
