JUMP

We returned last night from our annual camping trip.  Haven't had a chance to sort through my most of my pictures, but here is one of my quick favorites.
Greta was having a blast jumping off this wooden truck.  She did it over and over and each time would land knees, hands, and face all on the ground.  She'd come over, look at my shot, and then do it all over again.  I think I may have another daredevil on my hands.

Shiner

Greta had a run in on the slide with her second cousin.  Everyone keeps asking her if her eye is ok and she says, "It does not hurt!!"

8 Months

Little Mr. is on the move.  He's quite hard to photograph in this stage so these aren't my favorites.  But it's him.  :)

My attempt at a cute J&G shot but he would have nothing of it!

Josiah's Room

When I was expecting baby #5, I had a desire to do something to our nursery.  For years I have had the same colors and accessories in there and I wanted something different though I really didn't want to put much money into it.  I'm happy to finally have a little bit of something going on in his room.
For Josiah's Christmas present, my mom painted his room.  I wasn't real happy with the color I had picked.  It was supposed to be light gray but it has a bit of a lavender hue to it.  Grr...  I'm liking it better now that I have different colors in there.

Name sign made by my cousin, Shannon.  I love how this looks in his room!  I got the orange paint free at ACE hardware.

Yard sale frames and pictures taken by me.  Crooked frames and crooked lamp shade.  I am a decorating disaster.

This was going on underneath me as I took pictures.  Rug is from a yard sale.  It's not my favorite but it adds a little something to the room.

Yard sale Pottery Barn shelf.  The canvas is my little attempt at getting crafty.  And the most expensive thing in the room after buying all the supplies!  And the newest addition, my owl made by Claudia!!

I LOVE HIM!!  Great job, Claudia!!

I've been looking and looking for some sort of quilt to lay over his bed that would match.  One night when I was laying in bed, I remembered that I had this afghan buried in the basement.  It was made by my Grandma Rudy years and years ago.  I have always hated it, the orange and gray were so ugly to me but I didn't have the heart to get rid of it.  I never in a bazillion years would have thought I'd be decorating with this thing!!  But I actually really like it!!  And like cuz Shannon pointed out to me, it's Chevron pattern. Who knew that Grandma Rudy was so trendy???

Yard sale laundry basket.  I love this!!

Aunt Beth, do you remember this dresser?  I salvaged it from your garage, it used to be bright yellow!

Tomato Pie

My good friend, Jolynn, is up from Florida visiting for a few weeks.  She's been my good bud since high school.  I have so many sweet memories with her, she's been such a good friend to me.  It's always fun to be with her.

Today I drove up to Lititz to her parents house.  Her mom offered to keep ALL of the kids while Jolynn and I went out to lunch.  It was super fun to be with just her.  I think that may have been my first adult/adult event since having Josiah!  (Little Mr. does not take a bottle so he keeps me in pretty tight reigns.)  Anyway, as usual, our time was filled with tears and laughs and fun memories of much of life shared together.  So grateful for a sweet, "old" friend.

As she was telling me about our plan for the day I was hoping that we would go to the Tomato Pie Cafe.  Great minds think alike!  I have been hearing people rave about their tomato pie.  Oh. My. Goodness.  It did not disappoint.  I can't stop thinking about it.  Any locals must go and check it out.  And bring me a piece too!!
Pretty much not a great shot of any of the kids but oh well, it's us!!

Sentimental

Morgan, I know your going to be mad at me for posting this, but I want to remember it, it was so sweet!!!

This morning Morgan was playing with Josiah in another room and I was at the computer catching up with a few things.  She came into the room with these big tears rolling down her checks and face all red.  Morgan rarely cries and when she does I know she is either really hurt or really mad.  When I asked her what was wrong she got all choked up and said, "I don't want Josiah to grow up.  He's getting too big too fast.  Then he'll grow up and be really annoying like him." (shooting a look at her other brother)

I laughed and squeezed her and we talked for a little about how quickly he is growing and it really is so sad.  We are basking in his sweetness but he's just moving too quick.  Though I know it's good for him to grow, there are some days we wish we could just freeze him!!

I often am saying, "Poor Josiah, all you're ever gonna know is chaos."  Chaos yes, but this little dude sure is loved.
Took this picture 6 months ago.

Evening Out

Steve and I were discussing what to do the other evening with our "free night".  We settled on seeing the new building and then going out to the church campground for hot dogs, s'mores, and a creek stomp.  It was so fun to be outside with the kids.  I realized once again that I am happiest when sitting around the fire.
When I opened this picture it took me a second to realize it was Greta.  She's getting so big!!

Got him this t at a yard sale.  You'd think I gave him a million bucks.

Josiah's first graham cracker.  Kept him still and quiet. Score.

Hanna kids

I recently offered to take pictures for my cousin Shannon seeing that she wanted some new shots of her kids for her wall.  We had a good time snooping around behind my uncle's garage and chicken houses finding fun spots.
Her kids are so cute and sweet.  It was fun to capture them.  Love you, Shannon!!

I love this shot of QJ.  He's so big and grown up!!

Little Mr. Oliver was not too crazy about getting his picture taken but we got a few!!

Such a pretty girl, little Lexie!!
