I so rarely get a real smile out of this kid.  He's either running away from the camera or being a goof ball.  I was messing with my camera and him the other day.  I love his real, happy grin!

Crazy G

Greta is funny, when I'm taking her pics she's very smiley and loves to pose, but she is equally as crazy and wild.

Baking Duo

Came home the other night to these 2 trying to perfect their biscuit so they could have them with sausage gravy.  How cute are they??

Far away friends

Our dear friends Tweit and Jolynn came in earlier this summer.  They have the most beautiful family, my desire has been to capture their family on a picture...but haven't had the chance.  It's always a bit crazy with all the kids!!

The 4th

Wow, these pics are a tad old...looks like I'm a bit behind on my summer posting!

Jeremy and Carissa came over and brought some helicopters.  Jojo loved shooting them!

This was where we watched fireworks.  Nothing spectacular but we can see a few different places from our yard.  Claudia was missing, she was in Boston for our church's Eteam that week.

Greta: 7

Wow, I had a hard time writing that title.  I keep thinking Greta is 6.  Did she just skip a year of her life or what??

Our sweet G...that is what she is so often called.  Greta is generally a very happy girl, she plays very well by herself or with her brothers.  She does not have a lot of words but is deeply opinionated about certain things (mainly food!!) Her interests include coloring, playing Lego Friends, playing sports with her brother, and she loves her dolls and stuffed animals.  She is extremely affectionate and Steve and I often laugh at her at bed time... if you try to give her a hug while she is laying down it is not considered a hug.  She has to be standing up so she can squeeze you.  And a kiss is always on the lips.  It's very sweet.

Greta is a simple girl who doesn't ask for much or demand much in the way of attention.  The funny part about her is that she has this wildly competitive side.  So even though she is super sweet, she is super competitive.  She is driven to be able to keep up and well in sports.  She seems to have a boundless amount of energy.  Last night she was having a hard time falling asleep and came down and asked me if she could use her energy to clean her room.  How does a mom say no to that??  Even though she is young, she loves to organize and like keeps her room tidy.

We love you sweet G.  Happy 7th!!!

Greta's Birthday

Greta was devastated when she learned that Claudia's first day of school was on her birthday.  Big sis was very kind to get G a much desired lego set for her to open at the start of her day.

I surprised Greta by inviting over her good friend, Cianna.  We had a picnic and they spent the afternoon playing.  Morgan got G this orange wrap.  The red one is quite old and has gotten lots of love over the years.

The bridge has been closed for the last month so it was fun to eat in the middle of the road!!

We spent the evening at my parents' house.  Greta's birthday meal request was hot dogs, mashed potatoes, green beans and cantaloupe.  The combo made me smile.
