Adios, snow.

I'm hours away from heading off into my own little adventure.  I'm taking a few days and going to visit Steve's sister in CA.  I was supposed to leave Wed. evening by my flight was cancelled b/c if the huge snowstorm.  I'm very excited to go spend some time with her, but am sad to leave all my family behind.

And though I love the snow, I'm greatly looking forward to the 60-70 degree weather that they have been having!!

I expect my blog to be silent while I am gone.  I hope to have lots of fun pics to share upon my return!!

Favorite

One of my favorite parts of our new addition is having a bar for the kids to sit at.  It's so handy at lunch and supper to line 'em up and throw food at them.  The other morning I thought they looked particularly sweet all sitting in a row.

Snow and the end of Christmas

I'm still way behind on posting our life...here a few random things.

Helping daddy in the early morning to clear off the driveway.

We had a late Christmas with my brother and his family this year.  It's always fun to have some Christmas fun in January.
Afton sporting a hat from Claudia
The following sequence is terrible photography, but I love the reactions here.  My parents were in Denver this fall and got the kids all Broncos sweatshirts.  Can you tell the excitement??

Greta and her stuffed hippo from Grandma.  I can't get enough of her cheezy smile.

My brother must have been feeling pretty crafty this year.  He made my kids some pretty sweet handmade gifts.  I took these pics after the gift opening event.
Claudia's sewing box

This was actually Morgan's birthday gift, I just never took a pic of it before!  It's a secret box that only she knows how to open.  It stores all her silly bands.

Aaron's crane.
Aaron was pretty pumped about his crane.

I think Claudia wins the "best reaction" award.

Greta love this little book that g-ma and g-pa got her.  She looks at it almost every day.

Morgan "awwwing" at her horse necklace.

Greta's new smile

Greta has a new way of looking in the camera that just cracks me up.  I think I remember Claudia doing the same thing at the same age.

Pee Party

One of Greta's favorite things to do is have a pee party (that's how she says tea party) with her sisters.  The other day Claudia promised her that when she woke from her nap she would give her a party.  Claudia loves to decorate and plan and set up, so she made it very nice with candles and table cloth and all.  Some how Aaron slid in there and stole Morgan's spot.

Rasta

Another treasure from my bin from my mom's attic...this crazy hat that I knitted or crocheted in who knows what grade in school.  The thing is ridiculous, so loose and big.  But Morgan loves the crazy hat and wears it often.  I tell her she looks like a Rastafarian, but without the dreadlocks.

This is for you, Maw-maw

Recently, my mom came across this dress that she had made for me when I was about Greta's age.  It's one of Greta's favorites.

I almost deleted this one b/c it was so overexposed.  I took a second look and really liked it!!

En pointe

A big day has finally arrived for Claudia.  My sweet girl is now able to be dancing on pointe shoes in her ballet class.  She has been working very hard, waiting for her teacher to say when she was ready.  (I have much respect for her teacher, she looks at each girl individually and assess them that way.)  Last week she danced her first class in the shoes.  She had so much fun, though she was quite sore after.  I love to watch her dance and am so proud of all her hard work!!
