Tortillas

Back when we were first married, I had all kinds of time to experiment in the kitchen.  One of Steve's favorite things that I used to make was homemade tortillas.  It has probably been at least 10 years since I have done it.  I came across a recipe recently that reminded me of how simple and yummy they really are.  They're easy, just time consuming.  So in honor of March madness, we had ourselves some breakfast burritos for supper with homemade tortillas.
What was funny to me is that Greta is not usually aggressive about wanting to help in the kitchen.  Once in awhile she will ask but tonight when she saw me with that rolling pin, she was begging to help!!  I let her do one and after that I told her it was my turn.  She burst into tears.  Thankfully she was content with a ball of dough while I finished the rolling.

Footprints in the dough.  Yes, laid back mother of the year.

She didn't want me to take her picture.   New stage.  If you enlarge the photo you can see the tears that I needed my rolling pin back.

My brother's family

This past weekend my brother and his family were in.  I took some time to do a little photo shoot with them.  It was fun to capture them all.  I love seeing my brother as a dad.  He's such a fun-loving dad and it's obvious that he loves his kids.  Here are just a "few" of my favorite shots.

I love this one!!

This is sweet how Avery is holding her flowers that she picked.

classic.

Morgan said, "I love this one.  It's so Aftony."

I had brought confetti along and though it didn't quite translate on the photo like I had hoped, the girls had a blast playing with it!

More photo booth

I had another round of looking at the pics my kids have taken with the computer's photo booth.

Let me warn you before seeing the first few pictures.  My poor Claudia had another recent battle with severe poison ivy.  Though her face is a bit exaggerated b/c of the "chipmunk" feature on photo booth, she is accurate in saying that it's not much different than how she looked in real life!  She was terribly swollen and red.

Even Grandpa got in on the action

I love this one of Greta

Erin and Deirdre, I thought you would enjoying seeing these!!

***

Sometimes I just can't think of a good title for a picture, so this one just gets 3 asterisks.  :)

The weather has been crazy nice and the kids and I are enjoying all the extra time outside.  The other day we had lunch on the deck and the kids were just hanging out while I was holding the babe.  I had my camera and was taking shots without looking through the viewfinder.  I like this one.  Claudia showing her card trick, Aaron finishing his soup, and Morgan upside down.  The kid is ALWAYS moving or shaking in some way.  This is truly a "real life" moment!!

Rolling Over Lessons

Josiah has started rolling from his belly to his back.  Morgan thinks it's the greatest thing and the other day was giving him "lessons".
