Wedding

My dear friend, distant Thomas cousin Tina Lapp kindly took a few pictures for me the day of the wedding.  I am SO glad I asked her to!!  The day was so crazy I was grateful for a few family shots.

Shannon, you made it into the family pictures!!!

Aaron is 8

Our Aaron turned 8 yesterday.  He is no longer at the age where he seems like a little boy but is growing and changing in many ways.  It is fun watching him grow up.  One of the things that strikes me most about Aaron these days is that he is very thankful child.  He is always the first to say thank you.  Every meal, "Thanks, Mom!"  (even if he doesn't like the meal and takes an hour to finish his supper.)  He thanks me for pouring his cereal.  It's very, very sweet.  Another thing that I am enjoying about Aaron is that he is very quick to laugh.  It makes him fun to be around.

Aaron loves to read, to build with legos, play outside, and has an increasing love for sports (playing and watching).  He also loves to talk!  He has limitless energy for talking about the things that he loves.  He has a very sharp memory for names and events.  People are important to him and he makes friend very easily.  We sure do love you, Bud.  Happy 8th to you!!!

Ice Skating

At Seth and Keely's wedding I asked my niece Alana what she wanted to do when she came to Pennsylvania.  Without hesitation she answered, "Ice skating."

We packed everyone up and hit the rink a few days after Jer's wedding.

For whatever reason I thought it would be a good idea to take Josiah for a lap around the rink.  Almost to the end and I totally biffed it.  Thanks, Bruce for capturing my moment of grace.

Aren't we a cute couple??

Morgan totally cracked me up.  There was a group of girls getting instruction from a very talented woman skater.  She just joined right in!

Wedding

December 6th Jeremy and Carissa got married!!  It was such a fun and special day for our family, we were all involved in the wedding.  Steve officiated the ceremony, I was a bridesmaid, Claudia and Morgan were Jr. bridesmaids, Greta was a flower girl and Aaron and Josiah were ring bearers.  After pouring over the details of everyone's clothing it was sure fun to see it all together.

I took so few pictures that day in the hustle and bustle of it all.

These are a few of our dresses.  Shades of gray. So pretty.

One excited little flower girl

And one beautiful bride

My mom saved the day for me on many levels with this wedding.  She made both Claudia and Morgan's dresses and helped alter mine.  She came early to literally sew Claudia into her dress (#girlproblems) and tie all our bows.  Thanks mom for all your hard work!!

Such a sweet sister moment
