Chronic Napper
Aaron is a funny dude. He is almost always the first one awake. He wakes up happy and ready to tackle the day. He's loud and talkative. Steve and I keep saying we need to get this guy a paper route...
He also is a napper. He will often be found sound asleep in the middle of the day. I've been taking a series of photos with my iPod to document this. These pictures just make me laugh.

Accompilshment
This past week Greta hit a big day, she finished her 100 easy lesson reading book!! I have used this book with all 4 of our older kids and though I would not say it's 100 "easy" lessons, I do love the method and it's worked wonderfully for them all. Greta is actually the first Heitland to finish the book. Not really sure why none of the others made it though...mom's laziness maybe?? Nevertheless, they are all reading well.
I am very happy to say that I now have 4 readers!

Winter Wonderland
This morning we woke up to a real snowstorm, the first significant storm we have had this year. Even though it is March and I am desperately craving Spring, I love days like today.
It's noon and the snow is still going strong. Earlier this morning Greta and I hiked down to the creek and were enjoying the beauty and peacefulness of it all.

| I love that my camera caught focus of the falling snow instead of her on this picture. |

| Our beloved creek. This happens every time there is any significant amount of precipitation. When Greta saw this she said with astonishment, "The bridge is gone!!!" Nope, still there. Just buried. |

Out of the Mouths
Josiah is quite the little wise-cracker. He says stuff that we have no idea where he gets if from. Currently, we are blaming it on Grandpa Thomas. Here's an example of his latest.
Yesterday my 2 early bird boys were in my bed snuggling with me. Aaron said something about it being a snuggle fort. Josiah says, "It's not a snuggle fort, it's a bed, genius."

Humility
I don't know that I've ever before posted a quote on here, but I love this one so much.
C. S. Lewis:
Do not imagine that if you meet a really humble man he will be what most people call “humble” nowadays: he will not be a sort of greasy, smarmy person, who is always telling you that, of course, he is nobody.Probably all you will think about him is that he seemed a cheerful, intelligent chap who took a real interest in what you said to him.If you do dislike him it will be because you feel a little envious of anyone who seems to enjoy life so easily. He will not be thinking about humility: he will not be thinking about himself at all.
