Good -bye Crew

We said our good-byes this morning to the last of Steve's family. Dad and Jeremy left late Friday afternoon and then Seth and Keely are in Philly spending the day and then will fly out tomorrow. Thank you so much Dad and Bev, Jeremy, Seth and Keely for giving of your time and energies to help us get this far. It was a blast having you all here. We will miss your company.

We have had a crazy busy few weeks and I think all of us are looking forward to a little more "normal", although it will not be for a long time! The guys got a ton of work done but there is still a ton left to do. Steve will have a very busy fall trying to get the rest done. Our windows are on back order and will arrive in a few weeks. After that we will be able to put the new siding on the house and then the outside will be mostly done (except for all the landscaping... but that's a whole nother time...).

Many of you have asked me about Steve's fall into the bathroom. He didn't exactly "fall" into the bathroom, just his leg did. His only injuries were a scraped shin.

We had our biggest construction injury of the week last night. Seth and Keely and our family went to Five Guys for supper and then hit Home Depot for a few things. Seth and Steve were loading the truck and somehow Seth dropped a piece of plywood on his foot (wearing sandles). His big toe took looked like a bloody golf ball. It was pretty swollen and the nail is completely off. Hope you get better soon, Seth!! Last night as I was putting Aaron to bed we were praying and Aaron prayed that, "Uncle Seth would learn not to drop wood on his foot." It was pretty funny.

I'm sure my progress pics will be slowing waaaay down now. Steve's got lots of little things to do to make things weather tight and then insulate, drywall, laying our new floor (can't wait for that!!), etc. Thank to everybody for all your encouragement, visits, food drop-offs, and help!! It's fun to have people be excited for us.

Here is a pic of Morgan dumpster diving. She was all upset yesterday b/c she couldn't find her nail collection. Someone had thrown it in the dumpster. Imagine that!! Here she is thrilled to have found her rusty, bent nail collection. What a kid.
