Avery

My niece turned 6 about a month ago.  With all of the chaos and the kids it was fun to have a few minutes with just her.  She's getting so big!  Happy Belated Birthday, Avery!

I was trying to get her to rest her hands and head on this wood (it's actually that back of my neighbor's compost pile).  Anyway, I got one shot and then she said very seriously, "They need to sand this wood!"  Can you tell her dad is a woodworker?

My neighbor's cat joined in the fun.  Avery was more than happy to let her!

Camping

This was a bit of a different year for us.  My mom has been pretty sick and so her and dad were not able to go camping with us.  We missed them!!
We had a few extras this year which made it fun.  Uncle Jer came along, as did my brother and his family.  Good times.

B/c of Uncle Jer and his truck, this was the first year we were able to bring the kids' bikes.  They loved having them along.

I walked up from the cabin to see Jer engaged in a conversation with the kids.  Aaron had this intense look on his face and everyone was all quiet.  I thought he was scolding them or something.  Here they were talking about all the super heroes and the differences in their powers.

They have a BMX trail that that Morgan was loving.  She kept trying so hard to get some air off the jumps

Poor Josiah looked like he was beaten up.  He got so many scratches and such while we were there.
