Out of the Mouths

Tonight at supper Josiah didn't want to finish his meal so I gave him a small portion and told him that's what he needed to finish and he could be done.  When I wasn't looking he scraped his plate of undesirable food into the trash can.  I told him that his consequence was no more snacks the rest of the night.

Later in the evening the kids were having some ice cream.  Jojo was pretty distraught that he wasn't getting any.  He kept crying that he was the "worstest brother in the family" because he wasn't getting any dessert.  I took him inside and tried to explain to him that he is not the worstest brother...that he needed to say sorry to Mommy and sorry to God and he would get forgiveness.  To which he responded:

"But that doesn't mean I get dessert!"

Me: "No, but you get forgiven."

Jo: "But forgiven isn't a dessert!!!"

Hiking

This totally cracks me up.  The spitting water was completely unscripted, they both just did it at the same time.  They really do travel on the same wavelength...

He is SUCH a good big brother.

Outdoor Boy

Our sweet little Jojo loves to be outside.  His new favorite place is the sidewalk.  He'll take his toys or his food and just sit there and play or eat and talk to himself.  He is a happy camper!

Old News

A few weeks back little Greta jumped off the swing and instead of landing on her feet she flew too far forward and landed on her arms.  She fractured her elbow and had to wear a cast for a couple weeks.  Thankfully the injury was in her growth plate and those heal up very quickly. She's as good as new!!  I love her in her little tie-dyed cast, she was so cute.

Tonight Josiah was completely inhaling his supper.  He exclaimed, "Mom, I can't we-sist this chicken!"

Pause... "Mom, what does we-sist mean??"

If you're looking for an easy incredibly tasty supper, this is the chicken we had that Jojo just couldn't we-sist.  It's super tasty!!

Mother's Day 2016

This year's Mother's Day was fun and relaxed.  Steve cooked us an excellent lunch and we hung out the rest of the afternoon. I was grateful the sun was out, it's been SO wet and dreary here.
