Another Teen

Last week our precious Morgan turned 13.  It is almost impossible for me to believe that we have 2 teens in the house!!  I kept telling her that she wasn't allowed to get that old but she didn't listen.

Morgan had a super-dooper fun 13th birthday party, I will share those pics in a bit.  My camera died right before her trip so I've spent some time researching and just recently purchased a new (used) camera.  Can't wait for it to come and I hope I love it as much as my old one.

Anyway, I snapped this picture of her (with a borrowed camera) during her party and I think it captures her so well.  Love you like crazy, Morgan!!

Creek Stompin'

There's no place quite as a grand as a creek to a group of kids.  The possibilities for exploration are endless!  I'm bummed Drew isn't in these pictures, he was resting because he was sick.

New addition

My husband rocks.  I joke that he runs circles around me, is always one step ahead of me.  He spent the fall/winter/spring slaving away at his Master's Degree.  The day his classes were over he started a beautiful project in our backyard.  It's been super fun to watch the progress and what a gift it's been to our family in even just this short amount of time.

He build a waterfall into a pond (it will eventually get some fish) and also a fire pit.

There was about a 3 days window where the kids were allowed to swim in the pond.  They had such a great time!!

Family night

When my brother and his family were in last week we hit the local buffet.  I insisted that we had a group shot afterwards, it's been a few years since we had one taken together.  How nice it was that there were no kids screaming and kicking b/c they didn't want to be in the picture!!

Creek Stompin' Cousins

Boys' Camping Trip 2015

Since us girls have started our beach tradition, Steve decided it was time for the boys to make something happen!  This year he took both boys camping over the time us girls were at the beach.  It was so fun to get texts from him throughout our days apart.  Seems like they had a great time.

Aaron had so much fun catching fish!  The lake was connected to their camp site.

When I woke up with this picture sent to me I kept staring at it.  As much as I love the beach, I love, love, camping in the woods.  I was so jealous they were eating breakfast with the morning sun shining on their backs.  I was wishing I was with them!!

They ended their trip with a stop at Cabela's
