Fishing

The other week when my brother and his family were in, my dad took the little ones fishing at my aunt's pond. My sis-in-law gave me these pics...

Apparently Aaron was not very interested in the fish. He was more into the Gator and other toys they had!!

How cute are they???

Progress

Hopefully this shows what I've been attempting to do so far this week. I've decided it was time for little Aaron to start using the potty. It's been slow, put he's getting it. Let's just say it's good he's got more than 1 pair of undies!!

Beautiful Berries

My neighbor and church friend, Abby, is away for the weekend and let me pick her berries. Oh my, I have never seen such amazing raspberries. They were as big as my thumb. What a treat!!

Can't beat this...

Does it get any better than this? A great babysitter... and she takes adorable shots of your children while you are gone. I love these pics that Shannon O. took last night!!

These sunglasses are straight from the 80's. They were buried in a bin of junk that my mom insisted I remove from her attic. Love them on Morgan.

Claudia got a new layered hair cut today. She looks very grown up!

When it Rains it Pours

Today was just one of those days. It started out with Steve and I having a little disagreement before he left for work. Hate that. About an hour later, I realized that there was a serious leak going on in the basement. Our water heater has been giving us problems for some time now and I discovered that it was leaking all over the floor. Went to my scheduled chiropractic appt. I was having some bad back pain this weekend. I had a rib out of place (??? didn't even know that was possible). After lunch Claudia spilled some golden yellow paint all over the kitchen rug. I got stung by a bee while bringing in the clothes from the line. Cut a huge chunk out of my finger cutting an onion for supper.
It was also a good day. Hubby apologized when he got home with the new water heater. Got to spend some unexpected time with him while he tried to get that all situated. I have health insurance to pay for a displaced rib. My desperately dirty rug and floor got a much needed cleaning due to the yellow paint. The huge chunk in my finger was due to the very nice, new knives that Steve bought me a few weeks back. Got to share supper with my parents as dad helped lug the old water heater from the basement. The kids played outside all evening in the huge water heater box. My sweet friend Shannon O. is letting me borrow her lens while I figure out what to do to replace mine.
I am thankful for life, thankful for all that God has given us even in the midst of the chaos. I am loving this time of year and all that gets to happen with the door and windows open!

Painful Mistake

This past weekend I dropped my camera and busted something inside the lens. Oh... I am just sick about it. I took it to a camera shop today and it will be a pretty penny to get it fixed. Seems like I am better off to just buy a new lens. Does anybody out there have any suggestions?

Marshmallows, Blueberries, and Worms

One night last week we spent the evening down by my parents garden. Aaron enjoyed a feast of under ripe blueberries. My dad burned some brush and the kiddos got to roast some marshmallows.

Greta's first taste

Poor Afton didn't get to last too long by the fire. She was a little untrustworthy!! She certainly did know what to do with the marshmallows. They were shoved by the fistful into her little mouth!

Notice the 2 different roasting styles here:

#1 Miss relaxed

#2 Miss perfection

Aaron found some worms in the garden

Greta's latest trick, loving to stand and taking some steps!!

Aaron disappeared for awhile and I found him in the corn "doing his business" in his pants.
