Painful Mistake

This past weekend I dropped my camera and busted something inside the lens. Oh... I am just sick about it. I took it to a camera shop today and it will be a pretty penny to get it fixed. Seems like I am better off to just buy a new lens. Does anybody out there have any suggestions?

    What camera shop did you take it to? Did you try Perfect Image in Bridgeport? http://www.perfectimagerepair.com/

    He is a very nice guy and seems fair. I don't know if it would cost any less but he seems like he knows what's what.
