Aaron's World

If you have had any interaction with my son, you will quickly realize that the only things on his mind are trucks, trains, and tractors. It is quite humorous to me, esp. after having had girls first. The other day he spent quite a bit of time organizing his cars. So cute.

The Screen Door

Last week the girls were gone, it was just me and the little 2 home. Greta had woken from her nap and wanted to be fed but I was trying to finish the job of getting my floor clean. I stepped outside to shake out my rugs leaving the little 2 inside. When I tried to come back inside, I realized that Aaron had locked the screen door, locking me outside!! I was talking to him through the screen, trying to get him to unlock it. Unfortunately, the door is very easy to lock, but hard to unlock. I stood there for a few minutes trying to instruct him, but it was continuing to prove futile. I ran around the house to see if any of the windows were unlocked (I knew they weren't but did it anyway.) Went to the other screen door... he had locked that one too! By this time Greta was at the screen screaming her head off. My brain was spinning, I kept trying to figure out how to get in my house. As you can see below, this was what I finally resorted to. Now we have a nice little "doggie" entrance for the kids to go through.

The Last of the Cousins

My bro and family left on Sunday. I had a few last pictures to post of our time together. Sat. evening I had all the kids (4 kids: 2 and under!!) Here they all were playing with chalk on the sidewalk. That kept the little ones happy for awhile.

Yard Work

We've been trying to tackle some yard work this week. It's not going as fast as we had hoped. What is it about little ones that make any project SOO much harder?? Our weeds are out of control and we're trying to mulch. We're getting there. Tonight my mom and my nieces came over for supper and we put them to work. It was quite the crew.
Our weather has been crazy this week. Early on in the week was almost in the 90's and tonight we were back to sweatshirts and jeans.

"Hi mom and dad! Hope you're having fun in NYC!!"
