What We Did Today

This morning was a very productive/fun morning around here. My tomatoes are producing well and I finally had a chance to do something with them. I spent a few hours canning them. Here is my little helper dude.

Love the outfit. Dinosaur jams and Thomas the train undies.

While I was doing tomatoes, the girls were shelling a whole drywall bucket of lima beans. That is our 5th full bucket. They are a ton of work but sooooo yummy.

I rewarded everyone with a trip to the creek.

Morgan begged for this visor yesterday at the Children's Place. For 99 cents I figured I could give in. It's pretty cute on her.

Corn on the Cob

I love watching babies eat corn on the cob! Greta loves it, she will clean almost the whole ear off.

If you spend any time with Greta you will see her doing this face. She does it when she is super happy or also when you have something she wants. She usually shakes her body and fists while doing the face, too!!

A Big, BIG Day

Tonight was a big night around here. I've been potty training Aaron for over a month now and have had no luck getting the little guy to do a certain kind of business of the potty. Tonight was the big night. Grandma had bought him a John Deere wheel loader weeks ago and it sat on top of the shelf in the bathroom, waiting for him to do his thing. There was also a large, blue lollipop waiting for him. What a huge relief to this mama. Let's just hope he keeps getting it!!

B/c this little girl is very, very spoiled and knows what a lollipop is, she also got to suck on one to celebrate the evening.

Our New Favorite Place

Right across the street from us our Amish neighbors have set up a "produce cart" (that is what they call it) and sell some things. We love it dearly. The stuff is dirt cheap.

Catching up

I've been realizing that I have a bunch of shots that I just had not had a chance to post. Life is busy, busy! I hope to get some up over this next week or so.
About 2 years ago my parents started a tradition with my older girls of taking them to the restaurant of their choice on their birthday. This year Morgan picked Old Country Buffet (yeah, I'm working on getting her to pick a good place!!) Here they are before her big night out!

The Last of the Camping Shots

These pics have been on my desktop for weeks now... not sure why I'm finally getting around to posting them!

Aaron parked his little chair right on the road and sat. Not sure why? Maybe to watch the traffic?

Claudia catching up on her reading in "The Mennonite". That kid will read anything.

One Day at the Beach

This past Monday my friend Kendra and cousin/friend Shannon all took our older crew of kids to the beach! We left as early as possible with that many kids to organize and drove down to Rehobeth, DE. We got there... eventually. The trip was extended with a little run in with a cop in a construction zone. We stayed the day, it was such a great time. The weather and water were amazing. The kids played in the waves all day with only a short break to eat. I just wish we could have stayed longer!!

You know you are old when you and your friends are all wearing skirtinis!!
